Purchase History: Several potential Hawk buyers and enthusiasts have asked, "how long did it take you to get your car?" Well, here's my personal experience... My new 2001 Pontiac Trans AM Firehawk was ordered by McNamara Pontiac on September 8, 2000 - $5,000 deposit paid at this time. Car was built by Pontiac on October 9th - (the sales manager called the schedule up on his computer while I watched) Scheduled at SLP Engineering for upgrade on October 10th - Production # 118 In transit at Jacksonville on October 24th It's supposed to be here for my birthday - October 30 (oops, missed it!!!) The Hawk arrives on October 31st at 10am - McNamara Pontiac, Orlando, Florida Checking account like totally depleted by 11am!!! (a Hawk isn't cheap!) As ordered: Black Exterior/Interior, Manual 6 speed w/Hurst Shifter, Auburn Rear, Bilstein Suspension, Chrome Wheels, Firehawk Floor Mats and Car Cover. Since then I have added an SLP skip shift eliminator (absolutely necessary for those of us who already know how to drive), a K&N Filter, and an SLP Air Temperature Module (p/n: 63010). SLP claims a couple of extra ponies for this mod. |
